For this Project which is financed by World Bank, the Consultants were responsible from review and revision of the existing final design, preparation of tender documents, prequalification of the tenderers, tender evaluation and site supervision. The Works were being realized together with three British and one Turkish Consulting firms. System is delivering 90 million m³/year water from Tahtalı Dam reservoir to İzmir and consists of following elements.
Combined Water Intake and Pumping Station (17 m Diameter and 50 m High Tower) Near Tahtalı Dam Reservoir
Twin Steel Pumping Mains of 1,5 km Length with 1600 mm Dia
An 8 m High Surge Shaft with a Diameter of 4 m
Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Raw Water Gravity Pipe Line of 17,2 km Long
Water Treatment Plant with 500000 m³/day Capacity
Prestressed Concrete Cylinder Treated Water Gravity Pipe Line of 15,8 km Long
